Technologies

We use materials from plants grown without the use of harmful and toxic pesticides.
The organic raw cotton we use holds the transaction certificate from the Control Union, meaning that the yarn is processed according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Over 100 billion items of clothing are being produced every year. Half of it goes to landfills and takes decades to decompose. Over 500 billion plastic bottles are being produced every year. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. All textile and plastic waste can be recycled, turned into a yarn and reused over and over again. We develop products made of post consumer recycled materials and plastic bottles. It does not just look good, but most importantly feels good too.

Sustainable details
We worked hard to make sure that every trim, label, thread and zipper is either recycled or as sustainable or responsibly sourced as it can be.
TIPA packaging

We took a conscious decision to minimize the amount of packaging we use.

That is why every PANGAIA product comes in TIPA packaging, a bio-based, plastic alternative which fully disappears within 24 weeks in your compost bin.

NFC hang tag

We aim to be radically transparent by providing information about all stages and sources of our European production. That’s why all our products have an NFC tag.

Install the PANGAIA app and simply place your phone on the hangtag to unlock information about your product.

Manufacturing

When it comes to fashion diligence, every stitch matters. The challenge was not just in finding the factories with the best production facilities in Europe but the factories brave enough to take on manufacturing using bio and lab grown materials, recycled and sustainable fabrics. We also visit them on a regular basis to ensure that we build strong personal relationships not just with the owners, but with the people actually making our products.

Philanthropy

Every day we borrow resources from the planet.

Through our philanthropy platform, Missions, we give you a range of ways to give back. We encourage any active involvement: either donating time, energy or contributing funds to pioneering individuals and organizations.

Ocean plastic pollution is our current Mission, so when you purchase any PANGAIA product, we donate 1% to 5 Gyres on your behalf. 5 Gyres is a non-profit organization that empowers action against the global health crisis of plastic pollution through science, art, education and adventure.
